Emergent Vision Technologies will present a selection of high-speed cameras with 10 GigE and 25 GigE interfaces at Photonics West in San Francisco from February 5-7, 2019.
New 10 GigE cameras with Sony Polarsens technology
Emergent Vision Technologies recently added four camera models featuring Sony’s Polarsens technology to its HR and HT series of cameras with a 10 GigE interface: The 5 Megapixel HR-5000-S and HT-5000-S series (Sony IMX250MYR / MZR), and the 12 Megapixel HR-12000-S and HT-12000-S series (Sony IMX253MYR / MZR). In addition to improved brightness, color and high frame rate, these image sensors can capture polarization information which can not be detected by regular image sensors. This offers further possibilities in the industrial field such as inspection when visualization and sensing are difficult.
BOLT: 25 GigE cameras with Gpixel CMOS sensors
The HB-5000-G, HB-9000-G, and HB-25000-G respectively feature the GMAX2505, GMAX2509, and GMAX0505 CMOS sensors by Gpixel. These models offer 5, 9 and 25 megapixels, and up to 292 frames per second via their 25 GigE interface. 25 GigE offers many advantages compared to other high speed interfaces such as CoaxPress or Camera Link. These include a large number of low-cost accessory and cabling options, as well as low CPU overhead, low latency, and low jitter using Mellanox VMA. These camera models will be available Q2-2019.
The PACE LR-8K (10 GigE) and ACCEL LB-8K (25 GigE) both feature the E2V Elite 8K line scan image sensor. These cameras provide multilinear scans at true 8K vision. This results in a higher signal to noise ratio and makes high-precision imaging possible even when illumination is a challenge.
