What is 10 GigE Technology?

As the successor to 1 GigE, 10 GigE provides the same benefits but with a 10 fold increase in data rate and frame rate. Both standards are managed by the IEEE 802.3 working group and are being used in applications such as telecom, data communications, industrial, and military.

We now leverage the benefits of this globally accepted cross-industry technology for machine vision applications.

All our 10GigE cameras are GigE Vision compliant and can be used with standard hardware and cables for an easy and low cost integration.

<1% CPU utilization

We have been shipping the highest speed Ethernet cameras for over 7 years and have become the market leader in this space. We take responsibility for the complete solution by developing technologies to keep the server-side CPU utilization and latency to incredibly low levels. For this, we leverage technologies such as Mellanox’s VMA and Rivermax and Cspi’s MVA to offload all packet processing to the Network Interface Cards (NICs). This results in less than 1% CPU utilization and approximately only 100μs added latency.

Cable options from 1M to 10KM

One of the main benefits of using a strong standard such as 10 GigE are the connector options.  The SFP+ interface (HR-Series and PACE Series) provides three affordable options to cover the cable length requirements for all applications. They include Direct Attach (1M to 10M), SFP+ multi-mode fiber modules/transceivers and LC-LC multi-mode fiber cables (1M to 300M), and SFP+ single-mode fiber modules/transceivers and LC-LC single-mode fiber cables (1M to over 10KM). RJ45 (HT-Series) is a good option for shorter cable lengths of up to 100M.
