Video: GigE Benefits: Cable Lengths from 1 m to 10 km
High-speed imaging applications such as those in stadiums, arenas, and large warehouses require cameras to be fixed far from the host servers. One major benefit of GigE Vision technologies such as 10GigE, 25GigE, and 100GigE is that they offer low-cost, off-the-shelf cabling options that cover virtually any distance. When compared to competing interfaces like [...]
Video: Accurate Multi-Camera Synchronization Through IEEE 1588 PTP
Multi-camera systems are often deployed into applications such as virtual reality, volumetric capture and the metaverse, and machine vision. When two or more high-speed cameras are capturing images at the same time, however, they require precise synchronization to ensure optimal results when analyzing high-speed events. The IEEE 1588 Precision Time Protocol (IEEE 1588 PTP) [...]
Gpixel Cameras: Benefits for High-Speed Applications
Gpixel’s GMAX2505, GMAX2509, GMAX0505, and GMAX3265 are part of a new family of global shutter sensors designed to address high-speed industrial needs.
White Paper: Benefits of 10, 25, 50 and 100GigE Cameras for VR, AR and MR Applications
The line between the real and virtual worlds continues to blur thus creating awe-inspiring experiences that not too long ago were only found in works of fiction. Whether through Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, or Mixed Reality, individuals can break down the wall between reality and the imagination. For most people, these technologies may still [...]
Line-Scan Cameras for High-Speed Inspection and More
Line-scan cameras are well suited to inspect round or cylindrical parts for damage or cracks, or objects in continuous motion.
White Paper: Benefits of 10GigE and 25GigE Cameras for Sports Technology Applications
INTRODUCTION Technology in sports has been largely driven by business. A single missed call can easily amount to a loss of millions of dollars. Most owners and team members want to be on the winning side of a “call” but most accept technology as the most impartial and fair method for determining the outcome [...]

White Paper: 10GigE and 25GigE FAQs
FAQ's 10GigE (a.k.a. 10 Gigabit Ethernet) is the successor to 1GigE (1 Gigabit Ethernet) which is the leading interface for machine vision applications. 10GigE, as the successor, provides all the same benefits of 1GigE but with a ten-fold increase in data- rate which leads to a ten-fold increase in frame rate. 25GigE goes [...]
