Emergent Vision Technologies Announces New Line-Scan Cameras with Gpixel GL0816 Sensor
Our first product releases of the year were the 10GigE PACE and 25GigE ACCEL line-scan cameras. They were the very first line-scan camera models to feature the Gpixel GL0816 sensor, a new line scan CMOS image sensor which offers high-speed and low-noise image capture at 8K vision as well as excellent cost-performance ratio.

Performance-wise, the PACE LR-8KG comes with a horizontal image resolution of 8192 effective pixels and a line rate of 137KHz (single line), and 45KHz (trilinear). Its 10GigE SFP+ interface offers two cable options for lengths up to 10 kilometers without the need for costly fiber converters or repeaters. For those who prefer a RJ45 10GBaseT interface, the new PACE LT-8KG delivers the same performance but with cable lengths up to 100 meters using CAT6A cabling. The ACCEL LB-8KG comes with a horizontal image resolution of 8192 effective pixels and a line rate of 200KHz (single Line), and 66KHz (trilinear). The camera’s 25GigE SFP28 interface offers three cable options for cable lengths from 1 meter and up to 10 kilometers.

All camera models are suitable for a wide range of applications including industrial inspection, printing inspection, label inspection, film inspection, PCB inspection, and food sorting and grading.

MARCH / APRIL

eSDK

New Camera Software Now Supports Linux RedHat and CentOS
In March 2020, we released new versions of our eSDK and eCapture software. While previously available for Windows and Ubuntu users, this new release added support for RedHat and CentOS for Linux based systems. Both software offer seamless integration of Emergent cameras into your system and can be downloaded free of charge from our Downloads & Resources section.

25GigE BOLT camera

New 25GigE Camera Models With Sony Pregius S IMX535, IMX536 and IMX537 Sensors
In March 2020, we became the first camera manufacturer to offer the full range of Sony Pregius S IMX53x sensors after adding the IMX535, IMX536 and IMX537 sensors to our 25GigE BOLT camera series which already featured the IMX530, IMX531 and IMX532. The new HB-5000-SB, HB-8000-SB, and HB-12000-SB respectively offer 5.1, 8.1 and 12.4 Megapixels, with frame rates from 192 to 269 fps. These camera models are ideal for high-speed applications that require excellent image quality and fast frame rates. They include industrial inspection, automation, logistics, virtual reality, volumetric capture, and referee assist.

10GigE HR-Series with M52 mount

Emergent Vision Technologies Announces 65 Megapixel Camera Featuring Gpixel GMAX3265 Sensor
The 65 megapixel HB-65000-G made its debut in April 2020. This ultra high-resolution camera features the Gpixel GMAX3265 CMOS sensor. Using advanced processing technology the GMAX3265 achieves 65% peak Quantum Efficiency and excellent angular response. Other key benefits include high resolution in a compact optical format (35mm), high data throughput, and low-noise. The HB-65000-G offers 35 frames per second at full 9344 x 7000 resolution. The HB-65000-G offers all the benefits of the BOLT camera series including <1% CPU utilization, accurate multi-camera synchronization using PTP IEEE1588, low-cost accessories, low latency, and low jitter.

MAY / JUNE

Wrapping up 2020. Emergent’s Year.

Emergent Vision Technologies honored by Vision Systems Design 2020 Innovators Awards Program
In June 2020 Emergent received the Vision Systems Design 2020 Innovators Award for our 25GigE HB-25000-SB camera. The HB-25000-SB, which features the Sony Pregius S IMX530 sensor, is one of our most popular models. At full resolution (5320 x 4600) you get 98 frames per second, which makes it ideal for a wide range of applications including industrial inspection, automation, virtual reality, volumetric capture, or referee assist. This was the fifth award received by Emergent since 2016.
