New EROS 10GigE Camera Release
Emergent Vision Technologies today announced six new models in its EROS 10GigE camera series, adding more Sony Pregius S global shutter sensor options to the world’s lowest-power 10GigE area scan camera.
The new cameras offer resolutions from 5 to 24.4 megapixels, with frame rates up to 232 fps. Built on the IMX530 through IMX537 family of Gen4 Sony Pregius S sensors, the new models give engineers a wider choice of resolution and speed combinations within the same compact 29 × 29 mm form factor.
These new EROS 10GigE cameras are well-suited for industrial automation and inspection, multi-camera volumetric capture, sports analytics and embedded vision systems where space and power are limited.
Compact, low-power 10GigE camera systems
EROS cameras draw as little as 3W with SFP+ fiber and 4.8W with RJ45 PoE, and they auto-negotiate down to 5 GigE, 2.5 GigE and 1GigE for flexibility across different networks. They are fully RDMA and GigE Vision 3.0 compliant, and more than 50 EROS cameras can be built into a single system with 1 µs sync accuracy.
The cameras are supported by Emergent’s eCapture Pro software and eSDK Pro software development kit, which provide multi-camera acquisition, zero-copy data transfer and NVIDIA GPUDirect support. System designers can pair EROS cameras with Emergent THEIA 10GigE network interface cards or supported third-party networking hardware.
